Let's go to Ludo!

Days after Christmas, my cousins and I decided to go out together. Originally, we planned to watch an MMFF movie but some of use already watched so we opted to go on a game place. So my brother suggested to go to Ludo Cafe. Our family likes bonding over board and card games. Sometimes when we’re playing, we’d still be up past midnight solving crimes or making ourselves rich with pretend money!

Ludo is a Board Game Bar and Café that offers a really wide range of board games, and some card games as well. We went to their Makati branch located somewhere in Jupiter Street. They also have a Quezon City branch around the Diliman area. Exact locations and contact numbers can be found on their official website.

Their wall decors are huge print outs of cards from one of our favorite games - Mysterium!
We went on a Tuesday because we thought people might be back at work already, but it's better to check their schedule and to reserve! When we got there, a lot of people were already waiting, most of them with reserved tables. So as walk-ins, we were just hoping that there were enough tables to accommodate us. Luckily, we got in the moment they opened. We checked out the place and they had two walls of shelves with board games of almost every kind! They had board games patterned from movies, board games that were too complicated for me, party games and a nook at the end with some card games. The games they have are really for everyone because they cater to any age group. I saw some guests with kids and they played some Disney board games, and even a Frozen themed Jenga!

Some games inspired by movies (or maybe the other way around?)

This is just a part of their huge collection!
Here’s the only rule: Your table has to order something every 4 hours.

Food and price were okay, but if you're hungry, the okonomiyaki was the best for us.
And here’s the trick: Order in a staggered way, by pair or one by one so you won’t need to spend for more than one meal.
Here are the games we tried:

Cards Against Humanity

Cash 'n Guns. Our loyalty was tested in this game, haha!
No worries if you still can’t understand the game rules no matter how many times you’ve read the instructions because game masters are around the area to help explain the games to you!

Secret Hitler
We really enjoyed our time there and as proof, we even bought the last game that we played – Secret Hitler! Yes, you can buy some of the board games. You just have to ask if they have stock.

I hope that this visit won't be the first and last!
