April Skin: Good Skin All Year Round

I am so excited to write about this product. I am no make-up expert but I would still like to share how this product changed my life, I mean my make – up routine. Before, it would take me 30 minutes to I don’t know how long to get my face made up. It depends on what I’m using as a base for my face - BB Cream or powder foundation and if I’m distracted or not. But with April Skin, I finish 10-15 minutes max!

I ordered April Skin from Althea Korea. You can get it for about Php 1200.00 ++ but I got it for half the price because it was on a 50-60% discount that time. It was a chance that I really did not dare miss! I did not only get it for the discount though, but also because I trust that Althea Korea sells genuine products.

How the magic snow cushion looked like the 1st time I opened it

April Skin Magic Snow Cushion is a liquid foundation in a compact. According to their website, it contains more than 45% water-based serum to keep moisture and allows make up to last long. It also has SPF 50+/PA++. This magic snow cushion boasts three characteristics: (1) Flawless Coverage, (2) Long lasting, and (3) Easy touch-ups. And I can attest to all three characteristics! When I first tried it on, I had a big pimple mark under my chin and it was fairly covered! It’s really long-lasting, I only saw the need to retouch after 4:00 PM (I started wearing it by 9:00 AM). Finally, it does make retouching easier because you only need the compact to make your face look fresh again!

The cushion uses the double cushion technique where two cushions are overlapped to maintain moisture. Sorry about the little tint on the cushion, I used it to check if I got the proper tone of the liquid foundation haha!

They have three tones: #21 Light Beige, #22 Pink Beige and #23 Natural Beige. I ordered #23 Natural Beige because even though I have lighter skin than most Filipinos, I'm still dark compared to Koreans. I was actually nervous the first time I tried it, I was really hoping that I chose the correct tone. Thank God it matched well with my skin tone!

How To Use

Okay, the instructions weren't as clear as I hoped them to be so I just researched and watched some tutorials on Youtube. It's actually pretty easy to use and the only thing you need to remember is to dab. Dab to make the liquid foundation appear on the compact and use the dab technique to spread the foundation on your face, neck, and other parts you think necessary. Best part? There's really no need to use concealers (at least for me)!

This is really my new favorite make - up! It gives a dewy finish without the stickiness. No need for a lot of retouching as well! April skin definitely doesn't only give you good skin and coverage during April but all twelve months of the year!
