Matcha at St. Marc's

It has been a year or two since my first visit to St. Marc's Cafe, Megamall branch. And until now, I can't forget how good their match latte is. It is one of the best matcha flavored drinks I ever had (compared to Starbucks, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and Kissako Uji Matcha's Cafe). I really like the way their matcha flavor is blended, sweet and a little bitter. Megamall and the other branches are far from where I live so even if I crave for it and other matcha infused desserts they offer, it wouldn't be possible to get it ASAP. So imagine my delight when St. Marc's Cafe finally opened a branch here in the South and relatively near my area! Their South branch is located at the ground floor of Evia Lifestyle Center, beside the soon to open Mama Lou's.

Their menu is not limited to matcha flavors so for those who don't really fancy matcha, you can try the other flavors they offer! (To see their complete menu, just research in Google haha!)

Here are some of the desserts my family and I tried on our visit:

Cone Dessert: The Elvis and Geisha,Php 150.00 each.

The Elvis is a soft-served ice cream with a drizzle of chocolate syrup and slices of banana while the Geisha is soft-served ice cream with red beans and a little condensed milk.

Wa Dessert: Miyako, Php 230.00.

Miyako is a soft-served ice cream in a cup/bowl with a scoop of green tea ice cream, red beans and injeolmi jellies (injeolmi is a popular Korean traditional rice cake that is usually sweet.)

I already love their matcha ice cream but the injeolmi jelly is a new favorite! Will probably order this again just because of the jellies haha!

Parfait Dessert: Choco Berry Celebration, Php 250.00.

Choco Berry Celebration is served in a wide glass filled with soft-served ice cream, chocolate syrup, vanilla pudding, a scoop of vanilla ice cream (?), sliced fresh strawberries, a chocolate wafer stick and topped with chocolate powder.

My brother didn't really like this one and said that it's nothing special compared to other parfaits with the same flavor.

Our Wa and Parfait desserts are in plastic cups because we opted to have them for take - out. So if you're in a hurry and need some good ice cream to go, you can get them from St. Marc's! The next time I visit though, I will probably try some of their pasta/pastry and the Chococro, which is their best-seller in Japan.
