Hera, a new hero!

I just finished using my April Skin and to my disappointment, it was out of stock at Althea Korea. So I decided to research about CC cushions (color correcting cream) more and I chanced upon Farrah Espina's blog post. She talked about 5 different brands and rated April Skin the lowest. I am already amazed by this product but maybe I should really try a better brand out there since it went out of stock when I was supposed to purchase.

I told myself that the only make up product I will be willing to spend for is a CC Cushion because it effortlessly gives you a natural, soft, dewy look and makes prep time so much faster. Luckily, I had the chance to get Hera (Top 1, according to Ms. Farrah and other blogs) directly from Korea for a lower price (than Althea) and lots of freebies!

I was really excited when I received the package! I was very curious as to how much better Hera would be from April Skin. But before I show you pre- and post- make up photos, here are some snaps of the product first:

Comparing to April Skin, Hera comes in a white package and is smaller in size. The best part about Hera is that it comes with a refill. April Skin boasts about the generosity of the product but it lasted for about 2 months only, even if I opted to use it on weekends! Hopefully Hera will last longer than that, but if not, at least I have a ready refill! Hera is so much lighter than April Skin, it did not feel like I was wearing make up at all! It smells so much better too, it has a little hint of floral scent in my opinion. The #23 of Hera is lighter than April Skin's. The latter's tone matched my yellow undertone more but Hera's was still a match and did well for cover-up. I did not need to retouch the whole day, same as when I used April Skin. But Hera showed more consistency and even if I was sweaty, I did not end up with an oily face (I get oily face with April Skin sometimes, especially when I had it for a long time already.)
